CIPD Student Stories: Sol Martinez | Level 5 Diploma Review

Sol chose to study her CIPD Level 5 qualification with us to ensure she was on top of the current HR processes in the UK. Learn more about her learning journey below. 

I am originally from Colombia, and I have a real passion for the HR function within organisations which is why I've been working as an HR professional for more than 12 years now.  

However, I moved to the UK for personal reasons and I chose ICS Learn to study my CIPD Level 5 in HR. 

This was a professional decision in order to update my knowledge of UK Human Resources processes and procedures.

During this course, I had the opportunity to learn important things, reinforce HR and business concepts, and more importantly strengthen my judgment. 

This learning experience had a profound impact on my professional development as well as a major impact on who I am as a person because I challenged myself when I decided to study a qualification in another language.

The CIPD course has been a very important step in restarting my career back in the UK and has helped me to become more confident about the skills, behaviours, and knowledge expected from an HR professional in the UK. 

Currently, I'm even developing a business idea that came from research in Unit 2 during my course.  

I am immensely grateful to the tutors at ICS Learn for their constant support and guidance.

Also, very thankful to the Student Services team because when I had a question about anything administrative, they always replied to me quickly and kindly.
