Gregory wanted to take a more hands-on approach in his HR career, so he studied an online CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma in People Management.
My job is as a HR Executive and I’m currently studying a Level 5 Diploma in People Management.
I chose the course to be able to provide more support to my team, being able to take a more hands on approach with the confidence of knowledge to go with what I’ve learned so far and this goes hand-in-hand with my own personal development.
ICS Learn was a great choice, providing me with the flexibility to do the course when I want.
In the current situation with everyone working from home and kids not being in school, this has been a great help.
After speaking to a few advisors and trying to get a feel of which online provider would work best, I had also learned that ICS Learn are the only online provider authorized to offer the new CIPD syllabus.
Having this opportunity was too good to miss!
It’s an interesting position to be in as I’ll be one of the first to study the new syllabus and there will be current learning I will be able to share with my team and others, whatever level they’re at in their careers.
When I had spoken with an advisor about wanting to start the course. I was provided with a dummy account to try out the system and it’s very simple. You can go in and find all your units, resources, and webinar timetable.
You initially start with a ‘getting started with your course’ page which welcomes you to ICS learn, provides you with your student handbook and gives you the suggested route of action for starting the course, recommending that you take part in the Induction Webinar.
This is something that is very welcome as it’s easy to feel alone when working online.
I got to meet fellow students, all working towards different levels. We all received advise on how to navigate the system, what is expected of us and where to go should we need support. It’s also a chance to ask any questions you may have and to just know that there are others like you.
The course has already opened my eyes to so many things, despite me doing my role for numerous, years.
As I sit closer to recruitment, it has been very interesting for example, to see everything that must go into recruitment and just how much effects the labour market.
I would recommend ICS Learn to anyone wanting to take that next step in their career, or to even strengthen the foundation you’re on.
