I currently work at Omnis Highway Solutions, a nationwide Traffic Management company and last year, I was promoted to HR and Communications Officer. Having already worked in managerial roles, I did already have some experience that was transferrable, however, I knew I wanted to brush up on these skills and further enhance my knowledge.
I knew the CIPD was the best choice due to them being considered the gold standard in HR, recognised and respected by employers around the world as the mark of quality among people professionals.
While speaking to one of the helpful advisors at ICS Learn, we collectively decided which level was the correct one for me as we spent time discussing my previous experience along with HR-related situations that I had previously undertaken. From this, they were able to suggest the Level 5 Associate Diploma for me and my development.
I had some reservations about learning online and having to set aside the time to do the guided courses, however,
I find the online course framework really easy to follow and I like that all of the videos and course help can either be joined live or by a pre-recorded link.
This is particularly helpful as someone who is fitting the qualification around both work and my personal life.
So far during my studies, I have felt much more confident in the decisions I am making and I know that the learning I am doing is really making an impact on both my employer and my colleagues. As I continue, I am excited to see how I will progress as a HR professional upon completing my CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma.
