ICS Learn Case Study: Springfield Healthcare | Online CIPD Courses

As an HR Administrator with Springfield Healthcare, Alice Grant uses newly found CIPD knowledge to advise managers and create new reward management schemes.

My name is Alice Grant, I work for Springfield Healthcare as an HR Administrator. I am currently studying the CIPD Level 5 Diploma through ICS Learn.

Once I finished college, I wasn’t aware of where I wanted to be. I started in the care industry before I found my passion for HR.

I had qualifications at A Level standard and thought I would not have the opportunity to complete anything higher.

The opportunity arose when my workplace offered to pay for the course. This would be beneficial to me as an individual but also as further talent for the company.

I chose ICS Learn because I had seen it advertised and recently heard good feedback through my friends doing similar courses.  

The minute I contacted the team, Ciaran was on hand to provide me with details around the course including costing and the sort of level I should consider. Nothing was too much trouble.

I am a working mother, so I am finding it fits well around my current commitments.

I can pick up when it suits me, the support from the tutors is brilliant. My questions are answers efficiently and the online classrooms and a confident boost to say the least.

As I am currently working at entry level HR, I am finding this course is building my knowledge and I can put it in to practice daily.

I am feeling more involved in the workplace when advising managers and my opinion counts.

My aim for the next year is to become a HR adviser/officer and I feel this qualification will give me the skills and confidence to take the next step.

I feel my study has benefitted my workplace as I am comfortable to be left to make decisions and trusted to do so.

I have worked on reward management projects and currently undertaking a recruitment project.

I would 100% recommend ICS I started this course in February 2019 and I am aiming for completion by the end of summer!
