CIPD Level 3

Dawn wanted to get ahead in her career and decided to take on a CIPD Level 3 Diploma to formalise her HR knowledge. Find out more about her learning journey with us below.

I work as an Office Manager/PA in Leeds and I've just completed CIPD’s Level 3 Diploma in Human Resource Practice.

I chose to study this course as HR is something which I have been interested in for a few years now. I'm an Office Manager/PA but I do get involved in HR.

In May 2019 I decided it was the right time in my life to start doing a course in HR, my children had both left school and I had been out of a relationship for a couple of years, so thought it was a good time to focus on myself and my career.

I was fortunate to have the benefit of a training budget from my employer.  I researched various courses and chose ICS Learn because the gentleman who dealt with my enquiry from start to finish was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of my requirements.  Home learning suits my circumstances rather than attending a night class.

I really enjoyed my studies and learnt a lot.  It took longer than I had originally anticipated due to workload and time to study, but ICS Learn helped me every step of the way.

I appreciate their thoughtfulness, understanding, and caring about my circumstances in helping me complete my Diploma for many years.

I thoroughly enjoyed each unit and the ICS Learn material content was very helpful for when I was writing reports and assignments.  I enjoyed attending the live webinars when I could, but the recorded webinars were also very useful and I could watch them as many times as I wanted.

"My tutors were amazing. Whenever I needed help, I contacted them via the ICS Learn portal and they assisted with anything I asked for help or guidance with. "

The feedback they gave on every unit was also very helpful for assignments, even when I did not pass the first time the feedback was always positive and helped me pass the next time.  Having feedback was very helpful to learn more about the topic.

Now I have completed the course I am very interested in Performance and Reward which I would like to focus on in my career.

I am currently a member of the CIPD and will continue to be.  There are some interesting and useful Factsheets and other useful information on their website.  I have also signed up to a couple of their events.

My qualification has helped with my future career plans and if I want to do further studies in the future, I will definitely do another ICS Learn course.

I would highly recommend ICS Learn because they are professional, the staff are friendly, helpful and have the knowledge required.  The learning portal is easy to use, and the course material is easy to follow.
