GCSE Student Stories: Skye Wynn | GCSE English Review

Learn how Skye Wynn was able to pursue her career dreams, despite numerous challenges, after studying an online GCSE English Language qualification with ICS Learn.

Not everyone is handed the ideal foundations from which to start their dream career, however with the support and services from ICS Learn, I am on track to begin my journey into being an
Occupational Therapist.

I was raised in a less than functional home and I didn’t go to school after the age of nine. As such I did not have any GCSE's. I have three of my own children to raise and two of my sisters, all whom are still young.

I completed a GCSE Maths course a few years ago with a different provider and passed, however to get onto an access course I still needed a GCSE English Language qualification.

I was unable to attend an evening class this time round and worried that doing an online course may be too difficult for me, as I have such a large gap in my education and suffer from a few chronic illnesses.

However, my tutor Anna Pragnel was fantastic and I managed to slot in study time around my busy life.I am so happy to say that not only did I pass, but I got a grade 8, which is equivalent to an A*.

Doing this course has truly renewed a vigour for learning in me and boosted my confidence tenfold.

So much so, that I have decided to study an IGCSE Double Award in Science with ICS Learn alongside my access course.

If anyone is unsure about starting to learn with ICS Learn, honestly, just go for it.The website is easy to navigate, there are webinars to support exam techniques and the course work is of a high quality and broken into manageable stages.
