AAT Student Stories: Courtney Croker | AAT Level 2 Certificate Review

Courtney fancied a change at work, and so decided to start her accountancy career by studying an AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting.

After being with my current employer for a number of years as a Sales and Marketing assistant I wanted to begin training in another area of business that I have always found interesting but also challenging – accounts and finance.

After our accounts manager retired I took this as the perfect opportunity to begin looking for accounting courses online.

I spoke with my colleague in the accounts department and she agreed that it would be a great course to do to help benefit the company so I started my research on different courses available with different training providers and I came across ICS Learn.

I had a look through the courses they offer and was pleasantly surprised when I came across the AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting so I enquired and heard back rather promptly!

I spoke with Anne-Marie who was so lovely to deal with and explained everything to me in great detail, when I asked about payment for the course I was pleased to know that the cost could be paid in instalments along with a small deposit if this was a better option for me.

At first I was slightly hesitant about studying online again as I had done courses online previously and sometimes the support wasn’t that useful but once I started the course and began completing assessments my tutor was very supportive and always helped me with any units I struggled with, she would provide me very detailed feedback on my assessments as well as additional learning material on the units I had difficulties with.

All feedback was sent back to me within a couple of days as well which helped me a lot when progressing throughout my studies.

My qualification has helped me feel more confident within my job role and it has provided me with additional skills that I can now take with me to any new job role that I may take on in the future.

From beginning to end I found it incredibly easy to study with ICS Learn and I would recommend them to anyone who is considering studying online whilst working full time.
