AAT Student Stories: Leanne McCusker | AAT Level 2 Review

As a working mum, Leanne needed a way to kickstart her finance career the flexible way, so she decided to take on a AAT Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Accounting with us! 

I was stuck in customer service for 9 years always wanting to achieve more than what I had already accomplished. I remembered back to school and how much I loved maths and I enjoy working with numbers - it doesn’t feel like work for me.

I was googling all about accountancy courses online as a single mum it was hard for me to attend college or university whilst working a full-time job.

I came across ICS Learn and had a look through all the courses they do for accountancy. There was a lot to choose from and I wasn’t sure which avenue was best to take.

I called and spoke with a lovely lady called Marie who was so helpful and made me feel great about the options I could choose from. She listened to everything I had to say and helped me through the process of deciding which one was best to suit my situation.

There was no pressure for me to make a decision and she advised I could take as much time as I needed to decide on the course and advised the breakdown of paying for the course over a period of time. Not a bit of detail was missed, this was extremely comforting as I feel there is nothing worse than not knowing certain things and finding out later.

I started the course and the help that is on hand is amazing. Everyone I have spoken to so far has been extremely helpful.
