A Level Student Stories: Ava Ainsworth | A Level Business & A Level Sociology

Ava committed to online learning and this summer, passed both her A Level Business & A Level Sociology! 

After lockdown I struggled to return to school. I felt that the time away made me realise that as much as I loved learning the education system wasn’t for me. I decided to join a new sixth form college, looking for a fresh start and unfortunately, it didn't end up being the right decision for me.

I felt my grades weren’t reflecting how I normally perform academically, and I was sure that the reason behind this, was the environment that I was in. After some time, I eventually decided to leave, which was a scary decision but ultimately what I thought was right for me.

I very much still wanted to get my A level qualifications so I decided to look into different online courses, in the hope I would find something better suited to my way of learning and I did, eventually stumbling across ICS Learn.

It’s no secret that looking for online courses can be overwhelming, there’s an abundance of different websites offering A Level courses, and I knew that if I was going to succeed this time around, I had to pick wisely.

Luckily, I did, and I can say that my experience with ICS Learn has been consistently great from start to finish. No matter how intelligent or independent you are, when it comes to learning, you’ll often still need guidance and I feel ICS Learn definitely are great for this.

The tutors offer not only guidance but plenty of support, something I feel is very imperative throughout your A Levels.

I was worried that studying online would mean that I miss out on the benefits of having in person teachers.

However, the tutors are both extremely experienced and qualified which evidenced in the contact that I had with them throughout my course.

I enrolled in AQA A Level Business and AQA Sociology and sat my exams in the summer of 2024, I am so pleased with my exam results.

For me, it was proof that if you are struggling with school for whatever reason, there is always a way to get the grades and qualifications you want.

I’ve realised that with organisations like ICS Learn, you’re never completely limited when it comes to studying.

It's possible to learn flexibly and in an environment that is better suited to you and the type of learner you are.

Additionally, it’s worth mentioning that the learning platform is very straight forward to use, incredibly informative and I didn’t have any issues while using it throughout my studies.

I am so pleased with my experience of online learning. It’s taught me so much about myself, encouraged self believe, helped me become more independent and of course, kept me motivated throughout a journey that for me, was incredibly important.
