I started working in recruitment in May 2021 as a Talent Specialist at Reed as I wanted to eventually progress into a career in HR. Since then, I've enjoyed sourcing roles for people as well as managing them during their onboarding journey.
Because of this, I then knew that working with people was something that I want to do so, six months on I took the plunge and decided to enrol on a CIPD course to develop my skills and gain the experience I needed to progress into a HR role.
My friends and colleagues recommended ICS Learn and as they were willing to also price match, this really helped as someone who was self funding.
I am currently studying Level 5 Associate Diploma in People Management and my personal tutor is incredibly helpful and has been since the get go, especially when
The learning campus is very user friendly and has active forums on the campus to share ideas and set up study groups to support students. Questions addressed on the forum can be discussed publicly between the students and lecturers and the lecturers always ensure they're answering questions in a timely manner.
All units are laid out separately so we can focus on each unit accordingly and each unit includes Q&A sessions, masterclasses and Assessment Q&A sessions.
These are designed to support ICS students to learn at their own pace, but also have the opportunity to ask questions when they need to. Units are taught through regular live seminars at various times but the recording of the session and PowerPoint are available for students to re-watch whenever they wish.
I hope to complete the course in 18months and gain me access to a Senior HR role after being CIPD Level 5 qualified. Once I finish Level 5, I will definitely return to ICS Learn to achieve my Level 7 CIPD course.
If you're ready for a career switch like Shan, enrol on a 100% online qualification today.
