Emma Sconce

As a youngster my main focus was sport and as a footballer, I gained the opportunity to play in the USA for the Vermont Voltage after completing a Sport Science Degree.

On returning to the UK I pursued a career in education, teaching at out centres at football clubs and sixth-form colleges on BTEC Sport and A Level PE programmes. My passion for sport and working with athletes led to completing a MSc in Strength and Conditioning at the University of Salford.

From there, I set up my own private Personal Training and Education Studio, and have added qualifications in Suspension Training and Kettlebells to support my mobile and individual PT sessions, specialising in athlete development.

I have recently completed an Internal Quality Assurance qualification to strengthen my understanding of the robust accreditation requirements of health and fitness courses.

I am currently undertaking a PhD at Sheffield Hallam University focusing on Nordic Hamstring Lowers research, working with several sports athletes and football teams, carrying out testing and gathering data which I enjoy enormously.

I love seeing people succeed and fulfil their ambitions of working with the fitness industry, having met some passionate and interesting individuals along the way.
