Our CIPD Level 5 Diploma in Learning & Development is the most comprehensive Intermediate L&D course.

It's ideal if you're looking to progress to an L&D management position or formalise and build on your existing L&D management skills. It's also the best way to continue your professional development if you've studied L&D at Foundation level.

By studying L&D with the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), the largest professional HR and Development body in Europe, you'll be developing your own skills and career while you learn to do the same for others.

The course is real-world focused, giving you skills you'll be able to use at work from day one. You'll learn to understand Learning and Development within the context of the entire organisation, and how to use metrics to build business cases for L&D.

You'll be able to managing the L&D function within your company, implement coaching and mentoring for both individuals and groups, and improve the leadership skills of those in senior roles.

Once you've completed your course, you'll automatically become an Associate Member of the CIPD.

On the CIPD Intermediate Diploma in Learning & Development, you'll study 7 units which total 42 credits. They are:

  1. Developing Professional Practice - (6 credits)
  2. Understanding the Context of L&D - (6 credits)
  3. Using Information Metrics and Developing Business Cases for L&D - (6 credits)
  4. Implementing Coaching and Mentoring - (6 credits)
  5. Facilitating Collective and Social Learning - (6 credits)
  6. Developing Leadership and Management Skills - (6 credits)
  7. Managing the L&D Business Function - (6 credits)

You don't need any prior experience or qualifications to take this Intermediate L&D level course. If you have experience in HR or L&D, this will be beneficial, but it's not essential.

You should be proficient in English and have access to email and the Internet.

CIPD Intermediate qualifications are ideal if you want to:
