Our CIPD Level 5 Intermediate Certificate in Learning & Development is ideal if you're looking to progress to an L&D management position or formalise and build on your existing L&D management skills.

It's also the best way to continue your professional development if you've studied L&D at Level 3.

By studying L&D with the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), the largest HR and Development professional body in Europe, you'll be developing your skills and career options while you learn to do the same for others.

The course is highly practical, giving you skills you'll be able to use at work from day one. You'll learn to understand Learning and Development within the context of the entire organisation, and how to use metrics to build business cases for L&D. You'll be able to take on L&D management roles, and implement coaching and mentoring for both individuals and groups.

Once you've completed your course, you'll automatically become an Associate Member of the CIPD.

We've been a trusted CIPD Approved Centre for over 25 years, so whatever your professional ambitions, we're here to help you achieve them. If the Level 5 Certificate isn't right for you, check out our other CIPD L&D courses at Levels 3, 5 and 7.

*Pass rate based on 17,406 submitted assignments and 16,550 passes between 16th January 2016 and 17th January 2017.

You don't need any prior experience or qualifications to take this Intermediate L&D level course. However, you should be proficient in English and have access to email and the Internet.

Experience in HR/L&D support or management would be beneficial, but this isn't essential.

CIPD Intermediate qualifications are ideal if you want to:

  1. Develop your existing L&D skills
  2. Maintain your CIPD membership
  3. Achieve a more senior L&D role within your business or organisation
  4. Be seen to be a professional L&D expert with a broad range of skills and knowledge

If you're unsure that this is the right course for you, speak to our expert CIPD course advisors by phone, email or webchat. They'll take time to learn about your experience, education and ambitions, and help you make the right choice.

If you have any disabilities which you believe may impact your studies or assessments, please inform your Course Advisor before enrolment so that we can advise you on whether reasonable adjustments can be made to accommodate your needs.

With a qualification in Learning & Development from the leading professional body in the field, you'll be able to excel in any L&D or training management role.

Jobs you could enter or progress in with this level of study include:

  1. L&D Analyst
  2. L&D Manager
  3. L&D Advisor
  4. L&D Business Partner
  5. Recruitment Manager

Any CIPD qualification is highly attractive to employers, as it demonstrates both your professional expertise and your commitment to furthering your career.

Plus, once you graduate, you'll automatically become an Associate Member of CIPD, showing that you hold yourself to the highest professional standards.

If you decide to continue your professional development with CIPD, your study and further experience could lead to Chartered status with the Institute, and the potential for lucrative and rewarding senior level roles.

Using the CIPD Level 5 Certificate in L&D, you could continue your professional development with the full CIPD Level 5 Intermediate Diploma in L&D.

This certificate provides key knowledge and skills at the intermediate level while the diploma provides a more comprehensive knowledge of L&D.
