You don’t need any prior experience or qualifications to enrol on this Foundation Level L&D course. It’s ideal if you’re just beginning your L&D career.
You'll need to be able to attend a two-day workshop in either London, Birmingham, or Glasgow.
If you'd rather not attend a workshop, all of our other CIPD courses are 100% online, including the shorter CIPD Level 3 Certificate in L&D.
If English is your second language, we recommend you have IELTS 6.5/ESOL Level 2 or equivalent, but we’re happy to review your case on an individual basis.
Aside from the workshop, the course and assignments are fully online.
You'll study 8 units in total: all 7 core units plus your choice of 1 optional unit.
For full details of what you’ll learn on each unit, download our CIPD course guide.
‘I highly recommend ICS Learn. The tutors have been friendly, helpful and supportive. I feel I know these people, something I never expected from an online course. Online learning is better, in my opinion, than the college option.’
- Jacqui Day
‘ICS Learn is extremely flexible. I don’t have to dedicate specific days or times to studying and can easily fit it around working full-time. My experience has been outstanding.’
- Georgia Rogan
‘I had an absolutely brilliant experience at the workshop; the tutor was great, I got to put my training skills to the test and most importantly I got to meet other ICS Learn students! I’m full of enthusiasm for putting the things I learnt into practice.’
