To study the CIPD Advanced Level 7 Certificate, you should have significant HR experience or an HR degree and be prepared to take on postgraduate-level study.
It's ideal if you're looking for a shorter Level 7 course than the full CIPD Level 7 Diploma.
If English is your second language, we recommend you have an IELTS 6.5/ESOL Level 2 or equivalent, but we're happy to review your case on an individual basis.
The course and assignments are fully online.
You'll choose 4 of the following units to study:
For full details of what you’ll learn on each unit, download our CIPD course guide.
If you'd like to develop a broader HR skillset, the CIPD Level 7 Diploma allows you to study 8 of the above units instead of 4.

‘I wanted a company that would be there when I needed them to be, that wouldn’t require me to ‘check-in’ every week as if I was on probation but who would have the necessary expertise to advise me. ICS Learn was the only choice.’
- Mark Butcher
‘Working full-time and having two young children, it was important that I could work at my own pace. My HR Director encouraged me to take this route rather than do an MA, as she felt CIPD was more about applying the theory in practice.’
- Sarah Watts
