Student Stories: Leigh Burton | AAT Level 3 Review

Leigh always wanted to be an accountant but had to juggle work and family. She decided to study an AAT Level 3 Foundation Certificate online.

I currently work for a large day nursery, solely responsible for the management of fees and funding.

I decided to increase my knowledge base and understanding of the finer details of accounting via additional learning.

Whilst also thinking about my future career prospects as I'd always wanted to be an accountant but I thought it was out of my reach now that I'm over 30 with a busy lifestyle. 

I had been on the fence about this course for around a year, some companies require a day a week of college learning which I'm not able to do, I also talked myself out of it a lot due to being too busy.

Anne Marie was my initial contact and she was very helpful in helping me to understand how it would all work and what to expect.

I have had to contact student services once and the operator was really efficient and dealt with my query with ease.

I'm only at the beginning of my course but after my experience so far. I would highly recommend ICS learn if, like me, you're eager to progress but anxious about finding time within your busy life, just go for it! I was anxious to begin with but l'll find time and it will be so worth it. I wish I'd found ICS learn a while ago.
