ILM Student Stories: Kerry | ILM Level 3 Review

My name is Kerry Conway and I work within the legal sector as a team leader. I have worked for this organisation for 15 years. I started off as a legal administrator and was promoted to a Team Leader 3 years ago.

I started my ICS Learn journey to study the ILM Level 2 Certificate in Leadership and Team Skills. I felt that I was doing okay in my role but not fulfilling the role as much as I should be.

I am a single parent to a 9-year-old daughter and I work 4 days a week. I thought finding time to study would be difficult, but this course has given me the freedom to study at my own pace. It fits in so well around my life.

I can study in quiet times at work, evenings and weekends to suit whatever other tasks I have on that week. It allows you to find that work and study balance.

My tutor emailed me as soon as I signed up and has been on hand to answer any questions and no question is deemed too silly to ask.

All course materials are clear and easy to follow, and are broken down so well that it is clear what is expected from you.

It is also great to know that you can chat to other students for advice and guidance from people who are and have previously gone through the same studies.

My study has already started to benefit me and my workplace as they have gained an employee who has found a new enthusiasm and looks at things from a clearer and better angle than before, and I am keener to take on different tasks with confidence that I didn’t have before.

ICS Learn is definitely going to help my career progress and take me in a better direction.
