New to HR, Helen wanted to advance her career in the people profession and eventually decided to take on the CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma in People Management with us. Learn more about her learning journey below!
Initially, I discovered ICS Learn by Google Search back in 2017 when I was working as an entry-level recruiter. At the time I was just starting out in HR and wanted to dip my toes into the sector and learn more.
After a phone call with a helpful representative I signed up for the L5 Reward (stand-alone) module and within a few months, I had passed and paid for my course.
After moving onto my first HR Advisor role I decided I wanted to become fully accredited and complete the Level 5 Diploma to develop my career further and achieve associate status with the CIPD.
Between 2018 and early 2020 I progressed through the course online alongside working full time. It was a challenge but being able to work at my own pace and having the online support from the student community and specialist tutors helped me along the way.
It was all worth it when I achieved my certificate through the post after successfully completing the course in the summer of 2020.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend ICS learn for online study as the experience was seamless, including the interest-free finance they were able to offer which provided an affordable and achievable way of self-funding the course.
I am currently working in my second HR Advisor post and enjoying using what I learned during my studies, which supplements the experience I continue to gain.
