AAT Student Stories: Jodie Eglington | AAT Level 3 & 4 Review

Hoping to find a suitable way to make a career change, Jodie studied an AAT Level 3 qualification followed by an AAT Level 4 Professional Diploma in Accounting. 

After working in customer service for 8 years I found myself wanting to do something different and take on a little bit of a challenge. However, with my family and financial commitments I couldn’t give up work nor did I have the fees to pay to attend college upfront.

After a quick search online I came across ICS Learn. With a whole list of courses available, I noticed AAT was listed and as a previous AAT student, this instantly caught my eye.

After reading through all of the helpful information on the website I could see that it would fit around my life and had the option to purchase the course on a finance plan.

Suddenly building a career seemed possible!

I contacted an advisor and soon found myself signed up! It was such an easy process and my books arrived the following week. My tutor has been great at keeping in touch regularly emailing me and advising me of any updates.

Due to the coronavirus, the test centers were closed resulting in my studies being put on hold. However, when I spoke to the Student Services team at ICS Learn, they went above and beyond to ensure that my studying didn’t suffer.

As well as my books, I also have access to online material which has been incredibly helpful when I’m at work and want to sneak in some revision on my lunch breaks.

I have successfully completed my AAT Level 3 qualification with ICS Learn and started my Level 4 which I hope to finish in the next 12 months.

My course has helped me gain employment within an accountancy practice and put me on a career path full of opportunities.

For someone that has never found education easy this certainly has been an easy process, so much so that I’m already starting to look at what my next course could be.

Without ICS Learn I certainly wouldn’t be in the job I am in today and look forward to where it will take me in the future.
