AAT Student Stories: Hattie Clarke | AAT Level 2 Review

Hattie wanted to progress her finance career, so she decided to take on an AAT Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Accounting to get her going. Find out more about her story below. 

I am loving studying with ICS Learn so far. It's been so easy learning in my own time around my work and social life.

The tutors are brilliant, they respond quickly and the course is amazing and explains everything in thorough detail.

I especially love the fact that some of the exam papers and progress checks are marked online straight away and that some are marked by the tutors meaning, although I don’t get an instant result, I have detailed feedback on where I need to improve.

I initially had reservations about completing a course online as I wasn’t sure if I would be able to understand everything as I thought it was just learning from a screen however, due to the fact there are live lessons it means I can have interactive learning.

I also love that the lessons are recorded so if I can’t make it to one of the live lessons I can still catch up the following day.

I started in hospitality, so starting an accounting course was a totally different path for me to go down. Even though I have only completed half my Level 2 course, I was accepted by a brilliant company (Clay Knox) as a trainee bookkeeper.

I am still studying alongside my new job and have found the course very rewarding as I can push myself even harder and complete the course faster than if I were to be at a college.

My company loves the fact I can attend the normal hours of work and not having to leave to go to university or college days as I am continuing my studies when I get home. This is also a benefit for me as it means the company is paying me more than if I were to have joined as an apprentice.
