ICS Learn Raises £11,000 for Children's Hospice Charity CHAS
Each year, we pick a local charity to fundraise for. Last year (2019), we chose the incredible Scottish charity Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS) to raise money for.
Through a whole year of fundraising events, our staff managed to raise an exceptional £11,257 for this inspirational charity. Here’s a little bit more information about what we did.
CHAS — providing palliative care to children and young-people with life-shortening conditions
CHAS are the only charity that offers hospices services across Scotland for children and young-people with life-shortening conditions. Founded in 1992, the charity offers free care and emotional support to children and their families across the country.
Colin Kennedy, CEO of ICS Learn says: “We’re really pleased to have been able to support CHAS, which is a source of comfort to children and families across Scotland. We’re proud that we’ve been able to raise more than £11,000 to support their vital work.”

How we raised over £11,000 for charity
We take fundraising seriously as a company. Very seriously.
As a result, we had to think of some serious ways to raise money.
Working as a team, we organised everything from charity bonus balls and bake-offs, through to a Women’s World Cup Sweepstake and Game of Thrones quiz. The Christmas desk decorating competition we held in December proved to be particularly fiercely fought and resulted in some impressive arts and craft work.
Several employees went even further and took part in the Kiltwalk, Tough Mudder and the Great Scottish Run and raised over £3,587.11 for the charity through sponsorship from these events alone.
In all, we raised £11,257 through employee fundraising activities.
