ICS Real Stories: Natalie | Online AAT Advanced Diploma Review
Natalie studied our online AAT Advanced Diploma to strengthen her accounting knowledge and develop her career in finance.
With a career that was based in the financial industry but with no background in accounting, I felt it was important I have a stronger understanding of the accounting world.
I believe that this was the right path for my career and future prospects at the time of enrolling on the course.
I had a fair few reservations in relation to online learning, as I have only ever really studied with a tutor and classroom lessons.
I was anxious that online learning would not work well for me, however, I actually found it worked much better than classroom learning.
I could work it around my current role, also a difficult pregnancy, being able to learn online meant I could do this from the comfort of my home rather than making my way to a classroom.
I found the tutors were extremely responsive, always honest with criticism which made my learning experience all the better.
I get very nervous in the run-up to an exam and often find I start to panic and it becomes unclear to me where I need to focus.
From speaking to my tutors and asking for help, I knew exactly where I needed to focus. I found the tutor's advice, the study support chapters online, the progression checks and the easily accessible mock exams were extremely helpful in preparation and building my confidence before each exam.
I will continue to use and develop the skills I have learned through this course. My plans for the future are over the next few years to continue on to complete Level 4 and then further down the line study to become a chartered accountant through ACCA.
I would recommend ICS Learn as I felt the tutors were exceeded my expectations. I found the course material was clear and precise with the online learning material being simple and easy to navigate through.
Thank you ICS Learn.
