Aimee Bailey reviews how she was able to fit studying our online Level 2 Fitness Instructor course into her busy life working as a flight attendant.
I chose to study my Level 2 Fitness course with ICS Learn because it was so flexible with timing and completing it around my current full-time job.
I started my love for fitness around 2 years ago when I got myself a personal trainer and knew it was what I wanted to do.
I am currently cabin crew so trying to find a classroom-based course that could flexibly fit around me was near impossible. This is when I came across ICS Learn and the fact that they offered an e-learning course was perfect for me.
I have found the course challenging at times, but overall really fun and enjoyable! I loved doing the online assessments at home as it was a lot less stressful.
For the practical ones I didn’t like talking to the camera but slowly got used to it and having your friends around you always helps!
The flexibility of the course has been great, and the tutor support has helped me get through it!
The tutor always answers any questions I have quickly, and I can always ring up the student helpline if I have a question.
I now wish to take a little break of around 4 months to enjoy summer and then go back to ICS Learn to complete my Level 3 Personal Trainer. In the mean time I will be completing some CPD courses such as circuits and a kettlebell class.
Eventually my plan is to fly and crew part time and also personal train as much as I can! Making it my full-time job.
To anyone thinking of taking this course, GO FOR IT!
Honestly the reason I didn’t do the joint Level 2 and 3 together is because I wasn’t sure to start with.
Now I wish I had as I love spending time revising and learning about what I love! It is also really helpful to have knowledge to help myself in my own gym workouts.
I would definitely recommend ICS Learn to others even if they work 9 - 5 as it’s so nice that it’s flexible around your life and that you can fit it in when you are free and when you want to, it can be done as quickly or slowly as you would like to take it.
