Outline
For each of the four modules you will complete three formative assessments, one assignment and one exam. This means that, in total, you will complete twelve formative assessments, four assignments and four exams. You’ll also attend two 3-day residential workshops.
The formative assessments and assignments can be submitted to ICS online via the Student Community, or they can be posted to ICS. It is recommended that you submit your assessments and assignments online as you will receive your results more quickly this way.

Managing for Results
- Formative Assessments 1-3: 2 questions (of a choice of 4) in Section A and 7 questions (of a choice of 10) in Section B (per formative assessment)
- Assignment 1: the assignment should be around 2000 words and you will have a choice of 2 topics
- Exam 1: 2 questions (of a choice of 4) in Section A and 7 questions (of a choice of 10) in Section B. This exam must be completed within 2 hours.
Managing in a Strategic Business Context
- Formative Assessments 4-6: 2 questions in Section A and 7 questions (of a choice of 10) in Section B (per formative assessment)
- Assignment 2: the assignment should be around 2000 words and you will have a choice of 2 topics
- Exam 2: 2 questions in Section A and 7 questions (of a choice of 10) in Section B. This exam must be completed within 2 hours.
Managing and Leading People
- Formative Assessments 7-9: 1 compulsory question and 1 additional question (of a choice of 3) in Section A, and 7 questions (of a choice of 10) in Section B (per formative assessment)
- Assignment 3: the assignment should be around 2000 words and you will have a choice of 2 topics
- Exam 3: 1 compulsory question and 1 additional question (of a choice of 3) in Section A, and 7 questions (of a choice of 10) in Section B. This exam must be completed within 2 hours.
Managing Information for Competitive Advantage
- Formative Assessments 10-12: 2 questions in Section A and 7 questions (of a choice of 10) in Section B (per formative assessment)
- Assignment 4: the assignment should be around 2000 words and you will have a choice of 2 topics
- Exam 4: 2 questions in Section A and 7 questions (of a choice of 10) in Section B. This exam must be completed within 2 hours.
Notes
The workshops will take place in a central UK location.
The exam is held in May and November of each year.
