Course Overview
The Applied Personnel and Development Standards contain two aspects:
- A Management Report of 7,000-10,000 words
- A continuing Professional Development log of at least 35 hours’ activity
- You’ll have the opportunity to submit drafts of your work, and receive detailed feedback, before your final submissions.
Pre-requisites
You need to hold student membership of the CIPD and be working towards achievement of CIPD Graduate status.
Qualification
This course does not lead to a particular qualification but is an essential part of the Professional Development Scheme (PDS) and must be completed to gain Graduate membership of the CIPD.

Technical requirements and fees
Course material and assessment for this course is included within People Management & Development (PM&D). This individual option is for students who have not already, or do not intend to study, the PM&D course with ICS.
CIPD membership, exam and workshop fees are additional to course fees.
You’ll be given the opportunity to submit drafts of your work, and receive detailed feedback from your ICS tutor before your final submissions for assessment.
