Course Overview

With everyday, practical examples such as filling in forms, you’ll get better at reading and writing – as well as speaking and listening. You’ll find it’s easier to write and say what you want, and understand more – and you’ll soon feel more confident about getting your point across.

As an ICS home learning student you will have your own personal tutor helping you with your course work and with any questions you may have. Plus you can contact our Student Advisors by email or phone for all the practical advice you may need – so we really are with you 100%.

What's more, you'll have access to the ICS online Student Community, where you can interact with other students, browse our resource library and manage your account.

Assessment

This course includes a number of assessments that you complete as part of your coursework and then forward to your tutor. Once your tutor has marked and graded your work, they'll send it back to you with their comments, if any.

At the end of the course you have the choice of applying to sit either the Adult Numeracy Level 1 or Level 2 test* in order to gain the qualification. These tests will be available a number of times each year.

*Please note that exam fees are additional to course fees.
