Chartered Institute of Management Accountants

The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) was founded in 1919. It is a UK-based professional body that offers training and qualifications in management accountancy and related subjects. In 1970 it had a membership of 15,000, since then it has grown to now include over 65,000 financial services professionals.

Qualification

The CIMA qualification is about much more than pure accountancy. In fact, it provides a complete education about the modern business world – as good as, or even better than, many management courses. This internationally recognised and respected body offers one of the most highly-regarded qualifications available in the field of accountancy.

The Experts in Accounting Techniques

CIMA specialises in the development of accounting techniques for use in the internal control of manufacturing, service and public sector operations. CIMA has developed a position as the leading professional body in the areas of product costing, budgeting, management accounting, investment appraisal and business decision-making.

CIMA is one of the leading professional associations for accountants in the UK and Ireland and is also a member of the Consultative Committee of Accountancy Bodies and the International Federation of Accountants.

With ICS you can gain the necessary qualifications that will not only propel you into this industry but will provide you with the knowledge and skills to thrive. Plus, as you will complete your course at your own pace, you can do all your necessary reading from the comfort of your own home.
