Work psychology - the psychology of behaviour at work

Work and organisational psychology

The work psychology module allows you to apply psychological methods to the working environment.  It will see you examine a wide range of topics which relate to the field of work and organisational psychology.  These include job satisfaction, motivation and stress as well as other factors affecting the psychology of behaviour at work.

Human resources is something that will be examined as part of the work and organisational psychology module.  You will also take an in-depth look at the role of the occupational psychologist in work psychology.  Understanding the psychology of behaviour at work is the holy grail for many employers.

This module actually allows you to apply psychological methods to the working environment. You'll cover a great range of topics including job satisfaction and motivation at work, teamwork, and stress in the workplace. You'll also take an in-depth look at human resources and the role of the Occupational Psychologist.

Assessment

There are a number of assessments that you complete as part of your coursework and forward to your academic tutor for grading and comments.

You'll also take a summative assessment at the end of your module. Exam venues are located across the UK and exams take place twice a year. Please note that there are additional assessment fees for each module.
