Social Psychology  

The skills you will learn in this module will come in very handy in everyday situations. By gaining a greater understanding of social psychological theories, you'll start to understand exactly why you and those around you react in the way they do in certain social situations. You'll cover a great range of topics including social behaviour within larger groups, stereotyping and prejudice, and the influence of wider society on experience and behaviour.

>The experience of being a person in a social world and the different approaches which have been used to understand this area
>Interpersonal behaviour – how we interact with others in a variety of relationships
>Social behaviour within larger groups
>Stereotyping and prejudice
>The influence of wider society on experience and behaviour

Assessment

There are a number of assessments that you complete as part of your coursework and forward to your academic tutor for grading and comments.

You'll also take a summative assessment at the end of your module. Exam venues are located across the UK and exams take place twice a year.
