UK Distance Learning Psychology Studies and Criminology Degree

The Criminal Justice Process module is part of the home study BA (Hons) Psychology Studies and Criminology course.

The distance learning BA (Hons) Psychology Studies and Criminology course allows you to study for a psychology and criminology degree through convenient and cost-effective home study. The course is structured in small, manageable modules, and to gain an honours degree you need to complete all modules.

The Criminal Justice Process module is the foundation for much of what you'll cover throughout your Psychology and Criminology degree. You'll familiarise yourself with the criminal justice process, and learn the various functions and limitations of the entire law and order system.

Criminal Justice Process 

This module is a cornerstone for other areas you'll cover on the Psychology Studies and Criminology degree. You'll gain essential knowledge of the criminal justice process, covering subjects like the 'system' and its limitations. You'll examine key topics such as the powers of the police, and look at aspects of the legal process – judicial sentencing and the appeal and review process, for example.

Assessment

There are a number of assessments that you complete as part of your coursework and forward to your academic tutor for grading and comments.

You'll also take a summative assessment at the end of your module. Exam venues are located across the UK and exams take place twice a year. Please note that there are additional assessment fees for each module.
