Legal Degree: International Human Rights

Our legal degree course makes studying law more accessible than ever as you learn in your own time through home study. The LLB Law degree course is made up of eighteen modules including the International Human Rights module.

The distance learning law course allows you to study for your legal degree through convenient and cost-effective home study. The distance learning LLB Law degree course is structured in small, manageable modules, and to gain your legal degree you will need to complete the necessary modules to gain 360 credits.

The International Human Rights module of the distance learning law degree expands on the earlier Human Rights module, looking at human rights developments and legislation all over the world. The module gives you a wider perspective on how human rights are treated in law. As well as forming part of the distance learning law degree course, the International Human Rights module can also be studied on a standalone basis as part of your personal development.

International Human Rights 

Building on what you will have learnt from the Human Rights module, this module introduces you to the subject of international human rights from a global, non-Eurocentric perspective. It examines the latest academic arguments and research, giving you an invaluable international dimension to many areas of domestic law. Topics covered include the United Nations, the African system for the protection of human rights and the prioritisation of economic, social and cultural rights.

Assessment

There are a number of assessments that you complete as part of your coursework and forward to your academic tutor for grading and comments.

You'll also take a summative assessment at the end of your module. Exam venues are located across the UK and exams take place twice a year. Please note that there are additional assessment fees for each module.
