Legal Training: Employment Law

Legal training has never been more accessible than with our home study LLB Law degree course. This distance learning law course is made up of eighteen modules including the Employment Law module.

The distance learning law course allows you to study for your LLB Law degree through convenient and cost-effective home study. Your legal training is structured in small, manageable modules, and to gain your LLB Law degree you will need to complete the necessary modules to gain 360 credits.

The Employment Law module of the distance learning law degree will lead you through the often highly complex legal domain of employment law. Employment law is a massive subject, covering areas including anti-discrimination legislation, unfair dismissal, sexual harassment and redundancy. As well as forming part of the distance learning LLB Law degree course, the Employment Law module can also be studied on a standalone basis as part of your personal development.

Employment Law 

The aim of this module is to give you a sound grasp of the key issues and concepts in British and European employment law – dealing with both the practical and theoretical aspects of the subject. You will examine the nature and detail of current individual employment law, and you will also come to understand today's legislation within an historical, political and economic context. Topics covered include contracts, discrimination law and redundancy.

Assessment

There are a number of assessments that you complete as part of your coursework and forward to your academic tutor for grading and comments.

You'll also take a summative assessment at the end of your module. Exam venues are located across the UK and exams take place twice a year. Please note that there are additional assessment fees for each module.
