BA Law with Criminology Course: The Legal System (Legal Method)

The distance learning BA Law with Criminology course is made up of eighteen modules, including the Legal System (Legal Method) module.

The distance learning BA Law with Criminology  Degree course allows you to study for a law degree through convenient and cost-effective home study. The course is structured in small, manageable modules, and to gain an honours degree you need to complete the necessary modules to gain 360 credits.

The Legal System (Legal Method) 

Aimed at giving you the knowledge and skills you need to read and analyse legal materials, this module will also teach you the principles of constructing legal arguments. By studying topics such as the sources and classification of law, finding your way around an Act of Parliament and the structure of UK courts, you'll gain a thorough understanding of key aspects of the legal system.

Assessment

There are a number of formative assessments that you complete as part of your studies and forward to your academic tutor for grading and comments.

You'll also take a summative assessment at the end of your module. Summative assessments include coursework, exams or a mix of both. Summative assessments take place twice a year and exam venues are located around the UK. Please note that there are additional summative assessment fees for each module.
