You'll also learn about what it takes to succeed in a career as you study towards a social care degree.

Social Care Practice 2

Throughout this module, you’ll have the opportunity to reflect upon your personal and professional skills, your experience and your aspirations. You’ll also develop a realistic and achievable career development action plan, taking into account the job market and what opportunities are available. You’ll get useful insights into the recruitment process, as well as developing your understandings of equal opportunities frameworks and professional practice around issues of diversity.

>Conceptual frameworks of professional identity, including the concept of continual professional development
>Exploring the wider contexts of the labour market, the needs of employing organisations
>Diversity of career experience within different organisational contexts and work cultures
>Equal opportunities, diversity and antiopression practices and their centrality to working in social care

Assessment

There are a number of formative assessments that you complete as part of your study and forward to your academic tutor for grading and comments.

You’ll also take a summative assessment at the end of your module that determines your final mark.
