You will learn about the values and principles in health promotion in this module. As you work through the home study medical course, you will learn about the ethics in health care and the difficulties that may be faced when making decisions about patient care.

As you study about the ethics in health care, this will encourage you to think about your own values and principles and how health promotion work could be affected by them. This home study medical module is one of the optional modules included in an honours degree in Public Health. By taking a home study medical course with ICS, you can complete your degree at your own pace, without disrupting other commitments.

While the Principles in Health Promotion module is part of the BSc (Hons) Public Health degree, you can also study this unit on a standalone basis. This could suit you if you don’t want to study an entire degree, but want to learn more about the ethics in health care.
