Innovation & Change
In today’s nursing profession, it’s especially important to understand and manage the process of change. What you learn in this module will help you to do this – so, in addition to relating health care innovations to political, economic, social and technological social trends, you’ll learn to critically analyse the concept of change management. Ultimately, you’ll be able to develop strategies for implementing, monitoring and evaluating change.
What does the module cover?
Learn to relate innovations in health care to the influence of political, economic, social and technological trends in society. Critically analyse the concept of change management and apply a systematic approach to its use. Illustrate and evaluate the theoretical bases of change when applied to a change process. Develop strategies for implementing, monitoring and evaluating change.

Nurse registration or equivalent in a health and social care setting

Assessment
You’ll need to complete a minimum of two formative assessments that you can forward to your tutor for comment and feedback. You’ll also be required to complete an essay (4,000 words) as your summative assessment for this module.
