What the Health Studies degree involves
If you want to understand more about today’s health care environment, a Health Studies degree is an excellent choice. The course aims to give you broad-based knowledge, covering everything from theory and research to national and international health policy.
Essential health care knowledge
On this programme, you’ll look at the things that have the biggest impact on the quality of health – like the principles of health management, preventative measures, and the importance of supportive environments. You’ll also come to understand the relationship between theory and practice in health.

Programme structure
As you’ll see below, the first level of the BSc (Hons) Health Studies programme is made up of six modules. The second and third levels each consist of four core and three optional modules, of which six in total must be taken. A project module is compulsory at level 3 which allows you to put into practice what you have learnt on the programme.
