Power and Empowerment in Health Promotion

In health promotion, balancing the rights and responsibilities of the individual, the community, the health promoting agencies and the state is a major concern.  And issues of power, education and empowerment are of primary importance.  For example, health promotion programmes aimed at behaviour change are often criticized as individualistic and dis-empowering.  This module seeks to critically explore such issues.
