Legal Contexts of Care
This module aims to give you a better understanding of the effect of the law on social care. As well as learning how to identify legal dilemmas, you’ll look at specific laws, such as the Children’s Act, and how the law applies to mental health issues. You’ll also develop critical thinking skills to allow you to fully appreciate the complexity of the situations facing care workers, their managers, and all those who work with vulnerable people.

Assessment
There are a number of formative assessments that you complete as part of your study and forward to your academic tutor for grading and comments.
You’ll also take a summative assessment at the end of your module that determines your final mark.
