Evidence Based Health & Healthcare
What evidence underpins current health practices? And, how robust is it? Evidence-based healthcare is about using the best available external evidence when making decisions about patient care. Through this module you’ll gain an understanding of the principles of evidence-based health and healthcare – developing your interest in health research, and allowing you to critically evaluate the evidence.
What does the module cover?
Gain an understanding to the fundamental principles of Evidence Based Health and Health Care, and learn to differentiate between types and levels of evidence. Question the efficacy of current health and health care policies and practices, and learn how to critically evaluate evidence. You’ll learn skills in how to identify areas of health and health care where evidence is needed.
