Community development research project - home learning education degree

The health studies project is an ICS home learning module that makes up part of a full honours education degree.

This home learning module is in the form of a community development research project. You can put all your learning into practice by writing a dissertation on a education-related health subject. The project is about demonstrating effective research, analysis and communication skills as well as an ability to work independently.

So, if you want to take a home learning module and study in your own time, the community development research project will allow you to develop the key knowledge required to go on to obtain a full education degree.

Research Project

Your project is about choosing an area that interests you and conducting research into that topic – supported by a programme of seminars and supervisory tutorials.  After framing a suitable research topic (agreed with your tutor) you’ll carry out a draft literature review and plan your study, do the appropriate research, write it up and present your findings.  This is your opportunity to do what you really want!

Students will use the Research methods learnt throughout their modular study with additional support from subject specialist staff.
