In many careers today, the idea of Continuing Professional Development (often known as CPD) is essential.  To help you prepare for this environment, this module encourages you to formulate a personal career plan – informed by effective research into your chosen field.  What you learn on this module will help you demonstrate the skills you’ve acquired in your own Personal Development Planning process, assisting you in your future career

What does the module cover?

Describe and evaluate personal, professionally relevant skills against a chosen career path.  Select, implement and evaluate appropriate interview and presentation techniques.  Reflect on your own employment aspirations and align them to current employment opportunities.  You’ll constructively critique professional practice in a chosen field, and identify relevant personal strengths and weaknesses in the form of a Personal Development Plan.

Assessment

In addition to completing a number of formative assessments as part of your coursework, you’ll also need to successfully complete a summative assessment which takes the form of a Personal Development Plan Portfolio.
