Health Psychology module - home learning education degree

The Health Psychology module makes up part of the ICS home learning honours education degree with psychology.

This home learning module looks at the relationship between health and psychology, including bio-psychosocial approaches to health and illness as you study towards an education degree. Topics covered in the Health Psychology module include psychobiological systems in health and illness, the psychological aspects of cancer and the psychosocial, neuropsychological and quality of life factors involved in chronic illness.

So, if you want to take a home learning module and learn in your own time, Health Psychology will allow you to develop the key knowledge required to go on to obtain a full education degree.

Health Psychology  

What is the relationship between physical health and psychological influences?  This module describes and evaluates  bio-psychosocial approaches to health and illness, looking at processes which account for the occurrence of various physical health outcomes – as well as  the maintenance of health.

Assessment

There are a number of assessments that you complete as part of your coursework and forward to your academic tutor for grading and comments.

You'll also take a summative assessment at the end of your module. Exam venues are located across the UK and exams take place twice a year. Please note that there are additional assessment fees for each module.
