Business Research Methods

Research is an important part of business, and this module will show you how to use and understand a variety of common processes to gather the information you need.  You'll learn how to produce research reports, utilise primary and secondary data for specified objectives, and discover how to evaluate published research in the business studies area.

What does the module cover?

Discover how to obtain primary and secondary data for defined research objectives, using a variety of research methods. Learn to effectively analyse quantitative and qualitative data and present research findings in writing, with appropriate use of figures and tables. Consider the advantages of particular methods, as well as the limitations and difficulties associated with them. Produce a personal development plan that meets the Level 2 requirements, indicating an indication of current job or career ambitions.

Assessment

You’ll complete a portfolio of around 2,500 words and worth 70% of your grade, and a personal development plan of around 1,500 words and worth 30% of your grade.
