The Employee Development module is part of the home study BA (Hons) Business Management (Human Resource) course.

The home study BA (Hons) Business Management (Human Resource) course allows you to study for a business degree through convenient and cost-effective distance learning. The course is structured in small, manageable modules, to gain an honours degree you need to complete 18 modules.

The Employee Development module helps you understand the importance of people development in the workplace and how it can benefit the individual and the business. As well as forming part of the home study BA (Hons) Business Management (Human Resource) course, the Employee Development module is also available to study on a standalone basis as part of your personal development.

Employee Development 

This module helps you understand the importance of people development in the workplace – after all, by giving the right training to a member of staff, you can only benefit the individual and the business. The topics covered in the module include the design, delivery and evaluation of employee development processes, management development, and government training and development policy.

>Learning and the learning organisation
>ED's contribution to the recruitment, retention and performance management processes
>The design, delivery and evaluation of ED processes and activity, using new technology as appropriate

Assessment 

There are a number of assessments that you complete as part of your coursework and forward to your academic tutor for grading and comments.

You'll also take a summative assessment at the end of your module. Exam venues are located across the UK and exams take place twice a year. Please note that there are additional assessment fees for each module.
