Business Environment
This module is designed to introduce you to business organisations, business environments and how economic change affects businesses. You'll cover everything from public and private sectors to profit and non-profit organisations. You'll also learn just how important changes in the national and global economic systems are to a business.
What does the module cover?
Understand what organisations are, the range of organisations, and the legal and cultural structure of organisations. Evaluate the range of goals an organisation may have. Identify the economic forces that constitute a firm's business environment and analyse the causes of change in those forces. Comprehend the different levels of the business external environment and evaluate different forms of competitive threat or opportunity facing a business.

Assessment
You’ll complete two assessments. The first assessment will involve you answering questions on a case study and will be worth 60% of your grade. The second assessment will be a written text lasting 1 hour and will be worth 40% of your grade.
