Technology and Knowledge Management

This module has been designed to allow managers within a business environment to effectively use information systems. This in turn will help you drive the business forward using the knowledge gained to improve the general management and business decision making process.

What does the module cover?

Gain a thorough understanding of the role of information in the business environment.  Learn how to effectively use and evaluate database systems for business decision making.  Understand the need for the use of information in supporting decision making.  Develop the ability to specify suitable information systems for effective knowledge management.

Assessment

You’ll complete an assignment of around 2,000 words and worth 60% of your grade, and an unseen examination lasting 2 hours and worth 40% of your grade.  Exam venues are located across the UK and exams take place twice a year.
