MCSE on Windows Server 2003 Track

The Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) is one of the most widely recognised technical certifications in the industry today and marks you out as an expert individual.

As a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer you will have learned and proved your expertise in designing and implementing the infrastructure for business solutions, based on the Microsoft Windows 2003 Server platform and Windows Server System. Through the MCSE exams you will have proven your abilities in installing, configuring and troubleshooting network systems.

 

During the MCSE training you will learn how to plan, design and implement Microsoft Windows server solutions and architectures in medium and large sized companies. You will also explore how to successfully maintain these solutions and architectures.


Entry Requirements

In order to successfully pass this course, you should have 6 to 12 months of experience administering client and network operating systems in environments that has:

  • 250 to 5,000+ users
  • Windows XP as a desktop operating system
  • Three or more physical locations
  • Three or more domain controllers

Network services and resources such as messaging, database, file and print, proxy server, firewall, Internet, intranet, remote access, and client computer management

Connectivity requirements such as connecting branch offices and individual users in remote locations to the corporate network and connecting corporate networks to the Internet

In addition, candidates must have one year of experience:

  • Designing, installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network systems
  • Implementing and administering any desktop operating system in a network environment
  • Designing a network infrastructure

Assessment

You must pass seven exams, all of which will take place at your local Authorised Prometric Test Centre. (Exam codes: 70-290, 70-291, 70-293, 70-294, 70-270, 70-298 and 70-297)

  • 70-298 Designing Security for a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network
