The ITIL® v3 Foundation Certificate is your first step in training if you want to move into IT service management. It is particularly appropriate if you are working within the ITIL® framework, which is a series of best-practice procedures devised to ensure the best organisational and financial outcomes for business. The ITIL® Foundation course will give you the fundamental skills you need to ensure smooth running and continual improvement of business IT service provision.

The ITIL® Foundation course reflects best-practice guidelines drawn up from international experience in public and private sector businesses, and will teach you to plan strategically and guide organisational change. You'll also learn to design and operate effective IT service provision, which you'll then monitor for continuous improvement.

When you graduate with the ITIL® v3 Foundation Certificate, you will be better equipped to deal with your existing role and will have the grounding for further ITIL® training and for taking on more advanced IT service management roles.


Entry Requirements

You don't need any previous experience or qualifications to enrol in the ITILv3® Foundation Certificate course. That's because we believe in making home study - and a rewarding future - as accessible as possible. However, you will need to have a good working knowledge of the IT service delivery environment.

The course is multimedia based. Minimum specifications are:

Assessment

You will be required to complete one exam on completion of your course.

Final Exam: 40 multiple-choice questions which must be answered within one hour. Pass mark is 65%.
