IGCSE Physics

IGCSE Physics

An IGCSE Physics qualification says a lot more about you than the bare syllabus would suggest. Physics is the science which attempts to describe how the world works using the language of mathematics, and is usually considered the most fundamental of sciences. But physicists are also problem solvers, versatile and capable of clear, analytical thought. The skills you learn in physics can be applied in a range of careers, something which is recognised by many employers. Our IGCSE Physics aims to impart scientific knowledge and skills as well as foster an appreciation of the practical nature of physics.

The IGCSE Physics course will help you acquire a body of scientific knowledge and the skills to apply this in domestic, industrial and environmental contexts. You will develop experimental and investigating skills based on safe, correct laboratory techniques.

You will learn to form hypotheses and design experiments to test them, and to evaluate, in terms of scientific knowledge, the benefits and drawbacks of scientific and technological developments.

And you will learn to select, organise and present information clearly and logically, using appropriate scientific terms and conventions.

The Physics IGCSE is appropriate for delivery in schools and colleges and is graded A* to G, with assessment via two exams

Entry Requirements

You don't need any previous experience or qualifications to enrol in our IGCSE Physics course. That's because we believe in making home study - and a rewarding future - as accessible as possible.

Where will I go from here?

A Physics qualification allows you to expand naturally into more specialised areas of science, from nuclear physics, to chemistry to engineering.

The IGCSE Physics can also provide progression to GCE AS and Advanced GCE level, and other equivalent qualifications.

What will I gain?

This course will prepare you to sit the Edexcel IGCSE Physics exam

Assessment
